Equal split

The simplest mode. Enter the total, choose how many people, and Vantage divides it equally. Handles rounding automatically.

Itemized split

Per-item assignment with shared costs:
  1. Add items with prices
  2. Assign each item to one or more people
  3. Add shared tax % and service charge %
  4. Vantage computes each person’s exact share

Smart split (OCR)

Point your camera at a receipt and Vantage:
  1. Uses Google ML Kit (on-device OCR) to extract the text
  2. Sends it to Claude Haiku to parse items, prices, tax, and service charge
  3. Pre-fills the itemized split form automatically
Works with most printed restaurant receipts.

Groups

Create groups for recurring bill splits (e.g. housemates, regular dinner friends). Groups maintain running tallies of who owes whom, with a simplify debts algorithm that minimises the number of transactions needed to settle. Example: 3 people, multiple shared bills → Vantage tells you the minimum payment graph (A pays B 12,BpaysC12, B pays C 8) instead of tracking each bill separately.

Settlement

Mark debts as settled via:
  • PayNow (Singapore) — show QR code
  • UPI (India) — show UPI ID
  • Cash — manual confirmation
  • Bank transfer — record reference
Settled debts are archived with a history log.
